Stitching for Stress Relief (6 Week Series) : Thursdays, April 12th – May 17th, 6-730pm.
A 6-week introductory course to modern needlework, including Sashiko (Japanese hand embroidery), Cross Stitch and Hand Embroidery. In addition to being a wonderful creative outlet, needlework has been shown to improve hand-eye coordination, concentration and focus, and to help with stress relief. Throughout the course, you will learn a variety of stitching techniques, tips and tricks, and we will also talk about how to incorporate stitching into your daily stress relief routine & mindfulness practice. With your registration, you will receive a complete kit filled with all the necessary supplies to create your own Sashiko cloth, cross stitch hoop art and embroidery sampler (retail value: $60). No previous experience is necessary. Unleash your creativity and come join the slow stitching movement! Series Cost : $150 per person.
