Castle Frame, LMBT #16422, received her degree in Massage therapy in 2014 from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Castle’s passion for massage and bodywork therapies began at a young age through exploring various facets of alternative medicine and holistic healthcare. During her time at Hocking College, she developed a unique focus on Ayurvedic medicine and energy work by studying under Mark Cullen and Jeanie Faulkner, who have over 50 years of combined experience in Ayurveda.
Castle strives to develop a massage practice that is centralized around each individual’s unique needs and provides a holistic view to improving health and wellness. Castle’s experience with Ayurveda has given her the foundation to incorporate various aspects of eastern Medicine and mind-body connection into her massages.
Castle is also a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) and loves introducing Yoga into the lives of those around her. During her free time, Castle enjoys meditation, singing, exploring the outdoors, and traveling to new places.
Castle’s Deep Tissue Approach :: My approach to deep tissue bodywork begins with providing light pressure to each area of the body to gently warm up and relax the client’s muscles. As the body warms I gradually apply deeper pressure to areas of heavy tension while focusing on breaking down areas of built up fascia to free the body to a higher range of mobility. When appropriate, I utilize trigger point therapy to release specific areas of increased tension and sometimes add range of motion. Through open communication and staying completely present and in-tune with my clients body, I find the appropriate and unique techniques to help support the body in accessing its beautiful and natural state.
Massage & Bodywork Services Provided by Castle :: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Shiroabhyanga (Indian Head Massage), Couples Massage and Aromatherapy.
Castle found her love for yoga 3 years ago during her training to become a massage therapist in Athens, Ohio. She found yoga as a means to explore and understand her own physical and mental health. Castle became a dedicated Certified Yoga Teacher [RYI200] in the summer of 2017 so she could share her love for yoga with others and continue to grow her own practice. Her practice is integrated into her daily life, whether it be physical asana or mindfulness practices. Castle loves teaching yoga at all levels whether you are new to yoga or you’re a seasoned student.
Her class integrates a focus on meditation and breathing exercises as well as incorporating the chakras as a base for each sequence. She believes that yoga is a powerful force for understanding your full potential and works to challenge each of her students to help them discover theirs.
I hope to have you always leaving with a smile and feeling proud of yourself! - Castle
