Katy Knoll, NCLMBT #16337, is a graduate of The Medical Arts School in Raleigh, NC. Katy’s belief is that every expression of an individual; body, mind, and spirit can benefit from receiving massage therapy. Present and open to your unique needs it is her goal to help you connect with your body, offer relief from pain and tension, and enhance a personal sense of well being. Katy uses an integrative approach through various modalities to gently guide the body towards its own natural healing abilities.
Katy is committed to personal growth and continuing education to provide the highest potential for healing. If you are wanting relief from pain and tension, healing soft tissue imbalances, more of a sense of physical ease in your body, and wanting to feel a greater emotional balance—she would love to work with you on your personal goals.
Katy’s Deep Tissue Approach:
Katy does not believe that pain is necessarily good, and it’s not necessarily a sign that the massage is working. The body may tense up in response to pain, making it harder to reach deeper muscles. Communication is key between therapist, client, and the muscles themselves.
Katy begins with long broader strokes to warm up and assess the tissue. She approaches the muscle tissue and fascia slowly and with specific focus and encourages deep breathing techniques to therapeutically reach the deeper layers.
Services Offered: Colon Hydrotherapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Reiki, Reiki-ssage, Integrated Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Foot Reflexology, and Hot Stone Massage.
