I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years. My training has been exclusively in the Iyengar tradition, which focuses on developing systematic body intelligence, and allows each student to practice a wide variety of poses, with adaptations through the use of props as needed. I draw from my 20 years of experience as a physical therapist to enhance my yoga teaching. My goal in teaching is to create a kind and joyful environment, while students learn to explore their body’s capabilities, and practice meditation in action. I plan to go up for my Iyengar yoga certification in 2018. The Iyengar yoga assessment process is extremely rigorous, requires many years of study, and confers a certification that is an international standard.
